what by far do you think is the strongest card in duel monsters and why?

It depends on what you mean by strongest. Like, standalone strongest it's for sure CED- he's like Judgement Dragon on crack, but his summon can easily be ruined by Solemn and Bottomless. To be honest I don't think there IS a single strongest card. If Sophia wasn't so damn hard to summon, I think she'd be a good candidate.

The problem arises with Shock when 1: You choose to negate the wrong kind of card, i.e. your opponent has gorz or trag and you negate spells, 2: It runs out of XYZ materials and 3: There's already some huge-ass monster out there that can kill Shock easily.

Dude no. Macro just does the same as like twenty other cards, and MST and decree can get it gone easy.

I agree that while it CAN be a pain in the ass, it's not the kick in the balls that CED and Shock are.

wing dragon of Ra even in its current form. u can boost it to 12k whenever u need to. and it cant be targeted. with an srd u can make it untouchable to even darkhole

Yeah seriously? The God cards are too easy to get rid of. Just Evac. device 'em. And Ra's probably the worst of all since it cuts your lp down to 100. All it takes is one slip up on your part and BAM, you're dead.
